She was bound from her neck to her ankles. She moved her feet stiffly back and forwards, trying to release the tight grip of the ropes. The more she writhed and twisted, the tighter the ropes seem to become. She abruptly felt the ground quake. Her heart stopped. She strained to hear and understand the direction of the sound. Her heart stopped. She looked up and saw the black dragon slowly approach, its reptilian features coming into focus. She twisted and thrashed, desperation rapidly pumping through her body. As the dragon approached, she could feel the heat from its breath blanket her. It opened its mouth and in one breath, released a tidal wave of black feathers, forced out like rolling ocean. They covered her and everything went black. She opened her eyes gingerly and felt the release of her arms. She moved her legs and looked down. There were no ropes and no dragon. She rubbed her wrists and stood up. She was free.
